Position: Business Development Manager (KTP Associate)
Location: Edinburgh / Hybrid
Working pattern: Flexible working of 32 or 36 hours per week around core hours of 10:00 to 15:00
Salary: Up to £42K based on 36 hours per week

At Firefinch Software we make custom software and data science solutions to create value for clients in the life sciences sector.
The work we do varies from small proof-of-concept data analyses and prototype applications up to large systems which companies run their core business on every day.
Our clients are diverse and include instrument manufacturers, academic start-ups & spinoffs, and contract research & manufacturing organisations.
The role
As Business Development Manager at Firefinch Software you would be a key part of the management team, driving new business for the company by working with both new and existing clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a friendly and supportive team in a successful organisation.
Day to day, you would:
- Investigate business opportunities including contacting existing and potential clients through networking/events
- Manage the tendering process
- Collaborate with clients through the entire product development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Marketing
- Provide feedback and guidance to colleagues and clients.
The successful candidate will have:
- Graduated within the last 5 years
- Commercial awareness of challenges faced in the life sciences market and how software fits within this industry
- Science, Marketing or Software Engineering based degree
- Have experience of bringing products to market
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation
Salary & benefits
- Salary range: Up to £42K based on 36 hours per week.
- 32 days holiday (including bank holidays).
